They fooled me
once. They’ll will just get your money. Never trust them. A big waste of money. I should have reported them to the bureau business. My daughter didn’t get to take her SAT due to sickness. I beg for a refund at least a consideration, empathy due to financial reason but I wasted my time. They ignored me 3x. They are the worst, inconsiderate people. I hope they realize that.

Princeton Review is the absolute worst!!!
After much research and comparison, I decided to taks one of the 310+ guarantee courses offered through this company. There are so many issues and problems with this company.
1) There are always technical issues. Either the students cant hear the teacher; the teacher can't hear the students; and/or the screen doesn't show the teacher's screen. To top things off, Princeton Review's Technical Support is of no help. You will be on hold for hours on end, and sometimes they don't ever answer you and you go straight to voicemail. If you decide to send a voicemail, don't ever expect a reply anytime soon, on average, it took then one week to reply to any technical issues that aroused. This was extremely difficult, especially when the issue arouse during class.
2) There is a major lack of respect and patience. Princeton Review either needs to re-train their employees or hire new ones. Granted, some of the employees and extremely kind, some do not know what manners are. I have been on a few phone calls to talk about the basic things (when my MCAT test date is, how the classes are going, etc.) and I was treated like trash. They are only nice to you until they get your money, after that, you are not listened to, you are disrespected and you will almost never get your questions answered.
Do not use this company's product. Please, for everyone's sake. I did warn you; good luck on your endeavors

Christopher Vakulchik was fantastic

Christopher Vakulchik was fantastic.
Before he helped me, I was getting 1390s consistently, and was not even able to get above a 1400 sadly. However, after our sessions, I was able to achieve a 1530 on the SAT. Because of him, I was able to get the score needed to get into my dream college. I strongly suggest taking his sessions, they were what allowed me to succeed.

Great Tutoring Experience

I really enjoyed working with my tutor, Dr. H! He was helpful and organized while also having a sense of humor. He kept lessons engaging and interactive, even when we had to cover multiple hours of similar material, which I appreciated. He also had great communication throughout the whole process and replied quickly for scheduling and to any other concerns or updates.

Great Materials and Instructors!

Study materials and practice test feedback is great, but much is made possible by the instructors. I worked with Dr.H for both an LSAT course as well as tutoring. Dr.H was helpful, consistent and always on my side throughout my study journey. Princeton Review is lucky to have him!

I took a 1400+ class and I do not recommend this class. They use a server where your only allowed to type and my teacher didn’t even turn his camera on it was completely disengaging. I receive tons of homework over two practice tests to do in two days. I didn’t gain any points from this class and called for my money back guarantee and they didn’t give it despite me doing all the work. TOTAL RIP OFF !! This class stressed me out so much more than I needed to be for a ZERO point gain ! Use revolution prep the people are much nicer anyway :)

My Review of the Princeton Geometry Course

I was struggling with understanding the concepts in geometry the most thing I struggled with was circle theorems and 3D shapes which were covered in this course. I enrolled in this course because I had heard a lot of great things about it. The course was a month-long and probably the most productive part of my summer. This course saved me a lot of time as I didn't have to self-study much. The way the lessons were conducted was very efficient and the teacher knows the subject quite well. Any questions I had were immediately answered. Also, the homework that was assigned per class was reasonable. The next courses I will probably take are the grammar course and SAT course. I was really impressed with my results from the geometry course that I will be taking other courses from the Princeton Review.

material provided is too easy, doesn't accurately reflect the difficulty level of the GRE

I used Princeton Review to prep for the GRE, and the short story is I would not recommend this service.
Long story: This service is ok. It has a lot of practice problems available, and I was working one on one with a tutor which is great for motivation. However, considering the unbelievably high price, and their outdated difficulty level on the practice questions, I would not recommend this service to someone looking for GRE prep.
To relearn the basics of math (which I certainly needed) this gets the job done. However, the practice exams provided were far far easier than what I ended up seeing on the actual GRE exam! Towards the end of my 8 weeks of study with PR I was consistently achieving 165v165m scores on the PR-provided practice tests. Then my real exam rolled around and I was shocked to find math material that was far harder than anything I had seen with PR! I ended up with a 164v156m score, which was a huge jump down from the scores I had been receiving through PR and therefore I was very disappointed.
I ended up studying another 4 weeks after my first test with another service (Magoosh) and raised my score to a 169v162m. If PR is going to charge that much, they really should figure out how to prep students for the full exam, and not just in the basics of math.

These people are miserly to the extreme

I want to preface this review by saying that the content of what I am trying to buy from the princeton review has been very helpful in my MCAT preparations. Their books are helpful, their tutors are charismatic and wise, and their customer service agents are silver tongued angels. It's the framework in which they operate that screwed me over and officially blows chunks.
I am a Canadian enrolled in the MCAT Ultimate prep course. I enrolled less out of interest in medicine so much as the need to keep my brain turning while in Covid Quarantine. I regularly attended lectures, enjoyed the reading materials, and puzzled over their science workbook's puzzles- and then I got a job that required me to move cross country. No problem, right? Their lectures are put on servers to let people who work hours inappropriate for attending the live lectures, right? Those will be simple and easy to access, right? This tone is, of course, rhetorical.
About two months ago, I went to download my lecture, and found that the video would not load. I refreshed the page, and found it still would not load. I plugged my computer directly into the modem- no dice. I realized it must be related to the servers at Princeton Review- so I called them, chatted with a lovely woman who assured me that the servers would be back up shortly. Sure enough, the next day, they were up and running- minimal harm done. A couple days later, the servers, again, were down. I called in to assure myself that this was on their end, and they assured me that this was on their end- Servers will be up soon! You get the idea. Fast forward to last weekend.
I take my MCATs in three days. This week is CRUNCH time. I NEED MY LECTURES. The servers are consistently either down or putting out corrupt files (on average 3/5 lectures are unusable as downloaded). I asked for a partial refund, as I am getting only part of the 1800$ service I paid for. This was their official reply.
"Thanks for calling in earlier. I spoke to my manager, and we unfortunately cannot offer a partial refund for the technical issues with the recordings. This is partially because you didn't attend class after the 7th session. In addition, you didn't complete the homework, take any practice tests, or attend the Psych/Soc classes. I'm sorry to tell you that. We hope to have the class recordings issue resolved as soon as possible."
Let's say I were to pay for a car. I would fawn over the bright Xenon lights, how the keys felt in my hand and the seat warmers on my butt, but then turn to the stereo to find it was missing. How unfortunate! I would turn to the salesperson. "Hey, where's the stereo? I looove listening to music." The salesperson replies "Oh, but sir, listening to music is not the point of a car- you see, the point of the car is to drive you from point A to point B, therefore your car experience is complete and you will continue to pay full price." I realize that I bought the car not from a Ford Dealership, but from the Princeton Review.
When you charge as hefty a price as 1800$ to a STUDENT, I want your service to WORK. It does NOT work, so I want to have to pay LESS because I am getting LESS than what I PAID for. Comprende, Princeton Review?
This is their most recent response to my objections:
"It is our goal to have all of the recordings readily available as soon as possible after the class is completed. Currently, there is no time-frame explicitly promised for these recordings, due to the difficult nature of simultaneous recordings occurring on our servers. At this time, we apologize for the delays and inconvenience of interruptions to your access to these recordings, and we will continue to work to make this a smoother process. As it is not something we can promise a window of access to, it is not something we can give a refund or credit on. We can continue to assist your account- if technical issues persist, please let us know so that we can continue providing you with access to your content."
When I try to buy an ice cream at McDonalds, they don't take the money and THEN say "oh, sorry, the ice cream machine is broken." They just say that the ice cream machine is broken. That's because they are a *normal* company. Princeton Review is NOT a normal company. They will sell you a service that is good when you *can* use it, but is largely unusable, and then spit at your feet when you ask for a fix. I am GLAD that you will continue to work on this issue, but my issue is that my MCAT review does not work NOW. Sell the full product, at full price, to the people who are getting the full product with working servers, not to me, who is sitting here, writing this review, instead of going over my OChem Lecture because the file I downloaded from them was cut off mid-download and came out corrupted.
I loved my tutors. The books are comprehensive. But when they slip up, don't expect any refunds.
